Hello my dears

So, AAC was a blast and I'm currently waiting to hear whether or not I have a table at Anime Boston this coming year. :/ I should hope so, since I signed up the minute I could. Stupid AB with their crazy, unorganized scheduling. They had an art contest I had entered for a free table and I didn't win, but I did get an honorable mention, so I guess that's better than nothing lol.

Anyway, my #1 focus right now is my webcomic (well, more like web-epic), The Lumis Altar. I don't have a lot of support for it yet, but I guess that's to be expected when you only have 13 pages up and the main character hasn't even been introduced. I assure you, it's going to be worth the wait. I realize that there are thousands of webcomics out there, so I need to stay vigilant and try to make mine stand out. The only question is...how? I guess there are plenty of people out there that are hoping to accomplish the same thing, but my gaol with TLA isn't so much to be noticed as it is to tell the story I've been wanting to tell since I was 14. Other than all that, AAC is in just a few weeks and I think I'm sort of prepared X_x; I hope to have enough prints. I also want to try for the Katsucon and Anime Boston Artist Alleys this year, so wish me luck!

In the meantime, I've been trying to do more real 'arts', but I'm back in school and working two internships, so it's tough to do everything, you know? lol pfft life getting in the way of everything important!

So I guess this coming Saturday there's going to be two events at the Prudential Center in Boston; A cosplay picnic and a big, huge Homestuck event. I will be attending one of them, but I'm just going to assume they will intermingle and become one big clusterf*ck of nerds making the normal people more uncomfortable than they will be prepared for. For anyone who's going to be there, I'm going with , who is a Homestuck, which I know nothing about. So come see me and help me understand, as many have tried and failed lol xD; I'm bringing a sketchbook with me because damn it what else am I gonna do? Cosplay? PSHAW

So after years of waffling over it, I've finally decided to start getting serious about my original comic I've been wanting to start. I told myself I'd work on it a little bit each day, so let's see how it goes. I may end up creating a new dA account specifically for it. Or I might just start my own website. Either way, it's going to be a little while until it's up and running, but I hope at least a few of you who know me here would be interested enough to check it out soon. ^^

It took some time, but thanks to you, I've finally reached the target amount of donations for my good friend *Ajinori who lost so much in a house fire. In that time, she's finally all moved into the new house and it even has a studio attached to her bedroom. I know dA points won't do much other than give her a free subscription, but I figured it was the least I could do, so thank you all so much for donating and helping me out.

In other news, I'm out of school for the summer, living in a tiny apartment, but hopefully I'll be able to get out every so often. :/ I just started a job as a freelance animator, so lets see how that goes.

Well, there are exactly three days until I head for Boston. I'm going to be staying in a hotel with ~Maiden-of-the-Moon starting Wednesday evening. Anime Boston is going to be interesting this year xD; From what I can gather, there aren't going to be any specific Kuroshitsuji panels, but there is a Tea Party event happening on Sunday that Moony and I will be at for a bit. The only main panels we want to go to are the FUNimation industry panel and the Cosplay Death Match, as I've just been informed that there is a Sebastian cosplayer who wants to give me curry bread lol.

Sadly, I did not get a table at the Artist Alley this year Instead, I'm just going to carry around a sketchpad and be artsy whether they want me to or not. >/ If you find me, I'll sketch something for you. xD More than be at the convention, I'd just like to hang around Boston for a weekend. :3 It's the city I was born in, after all.

Who has a table at the Artist Alley and is willing to share 2-4 feet with me? :/ Blah, I was cast aside by the staff like a lowly piece of trash, I was! /melodrama. Honestly, it's like a warzone! They seriously need to either expand or figure out a system that doesn't have everyone scrambling around for space like animals at the last minute! I mean, it's only six weeks away!  Anyway! I noticed that the Kuroshitsuji fandom has done something to me. :/ It's made me appear to be a hateful, defensive bitch on occassion. And it's not because I'm that way naturally, because I'm not. Naturally, I'm a very accepting, tolerant individual who isn't bothered by much of anything at all. No matter who or what you are, I'll understand and accept that and try to make a connection with your regardless. But...it's when I'm approached by anonymous people on the internet who A) take fandom way too seriously and accuse me of things I wasn't even aware of and B) attack me for just fooling around and trying to have some fun that I turn defensive. And that's natural right? When someone tries to rain on your parade, you get mad right? Now I've been trying to be the bigger man and ignore it, but seriously, Kuroshitsuji has become one of the meanest fandoms out there. It wasn't like this when I started here, no. It's evolved into something big and now people love to bite each other's heads off. It's STUPID. D< I'm not leaving the fandom, but if you're one of those people that just likes to go around and shit on people for liking something that you don't, or are personally offended by a joke of all things, I'm sorry, but fuck you. It's not people like me that ruin fandoms. It's people like you.
